While it is still fresh in my mind, I want to share with you my birth story. This probably isn’t going to be what you’re thinking… It certainly didn’t go how I thought it would. It wasn’t the dreamy, magical thing I thought it was going to be. Before I jump into it let me say this… I am sorry. I am sorry for silently judging the women who get epidurals. Women who lay on their backs to push their babies out. Women who break down and scream like there’s no tomorrow when their baby is getting closer. I am so sorry. Because after experiencing 20 hours of labor with no pain medication and high standards for a magical water birth, I know what it is to throw everything to the wind and give in to the crazy. Now let’s jump in shall we? If you are a friend of mine who doesn’t want to see pictures of me in the throws of labor (all things bared) please leave now. Thank you. Now let’s jump in while my guy is sleeping so peacefully on my chest.
